STEVEN JAMES SMITH, M.D., FACS 

Dr. Smith, a native of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, established his plastic surgery practice in Knoxville, in 1993. Prior to that time, Dr. Smith was Assistant Professor in Plastic Surgery at the Medical College of Georgia. Since beginning private practice, he has been active in Knoxville area hospitals, including chief of medical staff, and other officer and committee chairmanship positions.

Dr. Smith has shared his expertise in plastic surgery by participating in volunteer medical trips to Chile and China. He continues to be active in plastic surgery education, serving as faculty for continuing medical education programs both nationally and internationally.

Through training, experience and continual interaction with plastic surgery colleagues and other healthcare professionals, Dr. Smith is able to provide each patient with the most current approach to each plastic surgery challenge.
